Grand Mahi

Mahi Grand was born in Nantes in 1969. Upon receiving his diploma in the decorative arts in 1996, he began working in the theater industry as a set designer. He contributed to theatrical productions by the likes of Julia Vidit, Thierry Thieu Niang, and Olivia Grandville, before transitioning to the cinema, collaborating with such directors as Bruno Dumont, Noémie Lvovsky, Roschdy Zem, and Xavier Giannoli. In parallel, he pursued sculpture and painting independently, as well as entering the field of comics as an artist. Over the years he has published a number of works, including "L'Algérie c'est beau comme l'Amérique" (Steinkis) and "Un Anglais dans mon arbre" (Denoël). Most recently, he has completed the graphic novel adaptation "La Conférence" (Dargaud; "A Report to an Academy," Europe Comics), adapted with intelligence and humor from Franz Kafka's original work.
